Support Our Documentary
Imagine giving people not only the ability to have better mental health but also the desire to.
Imagine a world where mental health is treated with the same respect and importance as physical health. Afterall, what is one without the other?
Through this first-of-it’s-kind documentary, the world can gain the knowledge and inspiration it has been missing. This is not just a comprehensive exploration of mental health, it is an awesome opportunity to open up conversations about otherwise silently misunderstood topics, while also giving tools that viewers can utilize effectively and immediately for the rest of their lives. Using empathy, awareness and education to break shame and taboo, all those struggling with mental health in any capacity can openly work toward recovery. Now is the time to change society on a mass scale.
Imagine a world where the suicide numbers finally decrease.

An array of resources
Breaking Taboo and Hope Films is embarking on a mission to shed light on an overlooked but crucial issue: Mental Health and Suicide Prevention. Through our documentary, we explore the complexities of these topics, challenge stigmas, and offer hope, understanding, and life saving tools for all.
HALFWAY THROUGH FILMING
We have spent the past few years raising funds, gathering resources, creating connections, booking interviews, and accessing locations. It takes an army to create a meaningful film and we need your help us make it to the finish line. Help us turn our most impactful project into reality. Every second counts, one suicide occurs every twelve seconds. Anyone could be affected: a friend, neighbor, relative, loved one, or yourself. This film has the potential to change society on a mass scale and enrich- and save- the lives of millions.
Our team is comprised of passionate people who are working hard to make this project happen, the majority of whom have been touched by this topic in some way and know the importance of seeing this project come to light.
INTERVIEWS
All of the brave participants featured in our documentary are actively fighting against the taboo. Their stories are real, at times heartbreaking but ultimately, inspirational. They have battled, survived, and they are not afraid to admit it. We also work with and feature many mental health professionals, executives of well known organizations, doctors, healers and treatment centers, all in an effort to provide life saving information and give the most comprehensive coverage of mental health. If you are interested in collaborating, sponsoring, or offering your services, please contact us.
FUNDING ALLOCATION
It takes an army to make a film, especially one of this caliber that will impact millions. Funds received will support the continued filming and development of our documentary. Our funds will go toward facilitating preproduction costs including extensive outreach and legalities required for such sensitive subjects. Production costs include filming, studio space, outreach, travel, cameras, sound, lighting equipment, crew, insurance and other production necessities. Post production costs include editing, sound, color correction, music, marketing, distribution, festivals, agency fees.
Funding will allow us to respond quickly when filming opportunities arise, as many subjects and advocates for this work travel great distances across the world and across the country to share their stories. Funding will also allow for on location filming to showcase the world of mental health, treatment centers, institutions, etc.
These funds will also enable us to complete the film and to ensure that the educational film becomes accessible to anyone and everyone who might be in need of help. Our plan also includes distributing our film as part of our ongoing mental health course for school systems and campuses across the country.
